Allegation of Research Misconduct

The Journal of Islamic Management Futures (JIMF) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity and scholarly responsibility. The journal takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and will respond to any suspected violation of academic and publication ethics in a fair, transparent, and confidential manner.

Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate or redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, manipulation or fabrication of citations, unethical research practices, undeclared conflicts of interest, manipulation of peer review, and misuse or misrepresentation of research data.

Allegations of research misconduct may be submitted to the editorial team by authors, reviewers, readers, researchers, or other relevant parties. Allegations should be supported, where possible, by sufficient information or evidence that enables the editorial team to conduct an appropriate assessment.

Upon receiving an allegation, the Editor-in-Chief and editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern falls within the journal's publication ethics policies. Where necessary, the journal may request clarification or supporting evidence from the relevant authors or parties involved.

If the allegation warrants further investigation, JIMF may conduct a formal inquiry and communicate with the authors, reviewers, editors, affiliated institutions, research ethics committees, or other relevant authorities as appropriate. All parties involved will be given a reasonable opportunity to provide explanations or responses before an editorial decision is made.

If research misconduct is confirmed, the journal may take appropriate corrective action depending on the seriousness of the violation. Such actions may include rejection of the manuscript, withdrawal of an accepted manuscript, publication of a correction or expression of concern, retraction of a published article, notification of the relevant institution, or other appropriate measures.

JIMF maintains confidentiality throughout the investigation process to protect the rights and reputation of all parties involved. However, confidentiality may be limited when disclosure is necessary to conduct a legitimate investigation or to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

The journal does not tolerate retaliation against individuals who raise research-misconduct concerns in good faith. All allegations will be considered objectively, impartially, and without discrimination.

Through this policy, JIMF seeks to protect the integrity of the scholarly record and uphold the principles of honesty, transparency, accountability, fairness, and responsible research conduct in Islamic Education Management scholarship.
