Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts that have not been published, accepted for publication, or simultaneously submitted to another journal or publisher. All submissions must be relevant to the Focus and Scope of JIEF: Journal of Islamic Educational Futures, which emphasizes innovative and future-oriented research in Islamic education. The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, systematic literature reviews, conceptual papers, theoretical studies, and case studies that provide significant scholarly contributions to the advancement of Islamic education at local, national, and global levels. Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English.

Manuscripts should be prepared using the official JIEF Article Template in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. The recommended length of the manuscript is 5,000–8,000 words, including tables, figures, appendices, and references. The manuscript should be organized into the following sections: Title, Author(s)' Name(s), Institutional Affiliation(s), Email Address(es), Abstract (150–250 words), 3–5 Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments (if applicable), and References. The title should be concise, informative, and preferably not exceed 15 words. The abstract should briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, main findings, and conclusions of the study without citations or abbreviations whenever possible.

Authors are encouraged to present their research using appropriate scientific methods, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, experimental, survey, case study, action research, systematic literature review, scoping review, and meta-analysis approaches. The Introduction should clearly explain the research background, existing research gaps, objectives, novelty, and significance of the study. The Method section should provide sufficient details regarding research design, participants or data sources, instruments, procedures, and data analysis techniques to ensure transparency and reproducibility. The Results and Discussion should present research findings systematically and critically relate them to previous studies and relevant theories, emphasizing the originality and implications of the findings. The Conclusion should summarize the major findings, highlight theoretical and practical contributions, acknowledge limitations where appropriate, and suggest directions for future research.

Tables, figures, graphs, and illustrations must be numbered consecutively, accompanied by descriptive captions, and cited appropriately within the manuscript. Authors should ensure that all visual materials are of high quality and that permission has been obtained for any copyrighted content. Mathematical equations should be created using an equation editor and numbered sequentially when necessary. All abbreviations should be defined upon first use, and units of measurement should follow the International System of Units (SI) where applicable.

References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style consistently throughout the manuscript. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. At least 80% of the references should consist of scholarly works published within the last ten years, with a preference for articles indexed in reputable international databases. Every reference listed in the bibliography must be cited in the text, and all in-text citations must appear in the reference list. Authors are expected to cite relevant and authoritative literature that directly supports their research without excessive self-citation or inappropriate citation practices.

Every submitted manuscript will undergo an initial editorial screening to assess its suitability with the journal's aims, scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that pass the preliminary evaluation will be checked using plagiarism detection software. The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references, properly quoted text, and standard methodological expressions. Manuscripts that do not meet originality requirements or contain evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of research misconduct will be rejected in accordance with the journal's publication ethics.

Eligible manuscripts will proceed through a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editorial team may issue one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Authors are expected to revise their manuscripts carefully and submit a detailed response to reviewers' comments within the specified revision period. The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

JIEF: Journal of Islamic Educational Futures is a fully Open Access journal, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles to promote the global dissemination of scholarly knowledge. The journal does not charge any submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), or publication fees. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that all listed authors have approved the submission, the research complies with applicable ethical standards, all conflicts of interest have been disclosed, and the manuscript represents original scholarly work that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of Islamic education.
