The Journal of Islamic Pedagogical Innovation (JIPI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and the publisher.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating submitted manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit, originality, scientific significance, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal's Focus and Scope. Editorial decisions are made fairly and without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, or institutional affiliation.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about a manuscript except to the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher when appropriate. Editors should avoid conflicts of interest and must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author's explicit written consent.

Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and timely double-blind peer review process and for taking appropriate action when ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct arise.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive and objective comments.

Reviewers should:

• Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts received for review.
• Conduct reviews objectively and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.
• Inform the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript and other published works known to them.
• Decline to review manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.

Reviewers must not use information obtained during the peer-review process for personal advantage.

Duties of Authors

Authors must submit original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data presented and for providing sufficient details to allow replication where appropriate.

Authors should:

• Present research honestly and accurately.
• Properly acknowledge the work of others through appropriate citations.
• Avoid plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and citation manipulation.
• Ensure that all listed authors have made significant scholarly contributions to the research.
• Identify the corresponding author responsible for communication with the journal.
• Disclose any financial support or potential conflicts of interest.
• Notify the editor promptly if a significant error is discovered after publication and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions when necessary.

Research involving human participants should comply with applicable ethical standards and, where required, obtain approval from the appropriate ethics committee together with informed consent from participants.

Duties of the Publisher

The publisher supports the editorial team in maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. The publisher is committed to ensuring editorial independence and does not interfere with editorial decisions.

The publisher works closely with editors to investigate allegations of research misconduct and, when necessary, facilitates the publication of corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with internationally recognized ethical standards.

Publication Misconduct

JIPI does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including but not limited to:

• Plagiarism
• Self-plagiarism
• Duplicate or redundant publication
• Data fabrication
• Data falsification
• Citation manipulation
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest
• Improper authorship or guest authorship
• Peer-review manipulation

Any allegation of misconduct will be investigated carefully following the COPE guidelines. If misconduct is confirmed, the journal may reject the manuscript, publish a correction, issue a retraction, notify the author's institution, or take other appropriate actions.

Corrections and Retractions

When significant errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles, JIPI will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions as appropriate to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record. Such actions will follow internationally accepted publishing standards and the recommendations of COPE.

Ethical Commitment

All parties involved in the publication process are expected to uphold the principles of honesty, transparency, fairness, accountability, confidentiality, and academic integrity.
